At the heart of the beautiful Maria Luisa Park in Seville, you will find a spectacular Moorish Pavilion. This impressive building is yet another work of art produced by the famous architect Hannibal Gonzalez for the Ibero-American Exposition 1929. This Mudejar-style building has a wonderful facade which looks like the front of an Arabian palace. Today the pavilion houses the Museum of Popular Customs and is open from Tuesday till Sunday from 9am till 2.30pm. It is closed on Mondays. On the lower floor you can see exhibitions related to traditional Spanish trades as such as the tools used by a guitar maker or makers of religious relics. The ground floor houses a display of typical Spanish furniture as well as everyday clothes and those worn by Spanish women for special occasions. A very interesting place to visit from an anthropological point of view.
