Parque de Maria Luisa was built to promote Seville and is, without a doubt, one of the most attractive parks in Europe, full of orange trees, palms, elms and pines, ponds, pavilions and flower beds; the ideal place to escape the bustle of the city and seek shade on those boiling summer days. The park was designed with a mixture of 1920’s Art Deco and Mudejar influence and is home to a number of museums located in converted mansions, including an interesting botanic museum. The main features of the park include, the Estanque de los Lotos (Pond of the Lotuses), la Fuente de los (The Fountain of Lions) and la Isleta de los Patos, (The Ducks Little Island).
