Seville's University detail

The University of Seville or
La Universidad de Sevilla as it is known in Spanish, is an important public university in Spain which dates back as far as the late 15th century when it was the School of Blessed Mary of Jesus (Colegio de Santa María de Jesús). The main faculties at the modern university are Literature, Philology, Geography, History and Law. Before starting university, Spanish students must complete several years of compulsory education. From 6 to 11 years of age they attend Primary School (Educación Primaria), from 12 to 16 years of age they attend Secondary School (Educación Secunadaria Obligatoria or E.S.O) and from 17 to 18 they do Bachillerato which is the equivalent of college in the UK.
